In this role, the responsibilities include but not limited to TPA oversight of complex and severe Workers’ Compensation claims across all business units.**Primary Responsibilities*** Support and oversight to the handling Claim Examiner/TPA* Evaluation of counsel and retention of same* Evaluation of exposures, liability and damages* Evaluation of timely and appropriate reserves and settlement authority* Effective communication with all levels of the organization* Negotiating optimum claim outcomes* Effective presentations to committee* Working closely with TPA Partners, Claim Examiners, Underwriters, Actuarial, and Senior Management to communicate claim developments, research trends, develop policy wording, educate/train on legal issues* Auditing of Arch’s TPA Partners for technical and handling guideline compliance* Travel for training, audit, and case negotiations**Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience* 5-7 years of related experience with a carrier or TPA* Complex/Severity Workers’ Comp/Casualty claims experience* CA, DBA or NY expertise is required.* Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word* Exceptional communication (written and verbal), evaluating, influencing, negotiating, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively develop productive working relationships with internal/external peers and other professionals across organizational lines* Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills* Ability to analyze, organize, and present information in a clear and succinct manner* Ability to take part in active strategic discussions* Ability to work independently and in a team environment* Willing and able to travel up to 25%#LI-SW-1#LI-HYBRIDFor individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Chicago, Hartford: $111,100 - $149,970/year* Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
