Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including problem-solving and decision-making

Maintain a positive attitude and strong student focus to inspire, engage, and coach potential students

Proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities

In the Director of Career Services role, you will:

Plan, develop and administer career development assistance programs for students, graduates and alumni

Build effective relationships with industry constituents and other partners to identify employment opportunities

Create and develop new strategies to support graduating students

Maintain department compliance with government accreditation, and other regulatory bodies

Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Complete weekly and/or monthly reports as directed

Identify critical problems, develop solutions, and coordinate the necessary personnel to implement solutions

Partner with compliance regarding placement verification and documentation processes and policies.

Excellent written and communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CampusVue

Goal oriented

Great attention to detail

Proven track record of exceeding metrics

Consistently display the highest level of integrity

Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines and work flexible hours.

Candidate must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test.

About Tulsa Welding School: Tulsa Welding School (TWS) has locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jacksonville, Florida; and Houston, Texas. TWS in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has trained individuals for professional, entry level careers since January 1949. TWS in Jacksonville, Florida, which is a branch campus of Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, started training students in November 2001. Tulsa Welding School & Technology Center (TWSTC) in Houston, Texas, which is also a branch campus of Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, started training students in December 2014.

Our training programs are designed to meet employers’ needs by providing our students with the technical competencies as required and are based on industry feedback. Our instructors are industry experienced professionals who instruct their students in the techniques and skills needed by employers.
