Ground Up Commercial Construction Superintendent

for automobile dealership development projects in the

Los Angeles, CA area (Carson, CA) . If you believe you have the necessary skills, please apply, and our team will contact you. Duties & Responsibilities

Manage daily field activities to meet project milestones and schedule completion. Create short-interval look-ahead schedules, communicate upcoming events, identify issues, and facilitate solutions. Manage the project site safety plan, fostering a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness. Coordinate work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly manner consistent with industry standards. Establish and maintain all dimensional controls, including third-party survey and layout when appropriate. Verify work quality (plumb, level, straight, etc.). Obtain inspections and document quality aspects of the work. Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements. Administer client-specific programs such as Landlord/Site Rules, Safety, Security, etc. Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings. Manage self-performed activities within the project budget. Handle project scope changes to prevent rework. Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements. Manage punch list and project closeout for timely completion. Maintain daily paperwork: timecards, reports, schedule updates, emails. Interact cordially with supporting groups (client’s IT, vendors, security, etc.). Complete project schedules for proposals, estimates, and participate in interviews. Engage in marketing and project acquisition. Support additional duties as needed. Qualifications & Requirements

Experience managing tilt-up and ground-up commercial projects. Tenant Improvement (TI) experience required. Experience with automobile dealership builds is a major plus. AS degree in Construction Management or similar, or Journeyman status in a building trade with supervisory experience. Understanding of construction methods for commercial and institutional buildings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and industry tools. Current safety credentials (OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR). Competencies:
