JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives and analyzes Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from Business Development (BD) and ensures appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) are assigned.

Prepares and modifies proposal text, budgets, and cover letters responding to RFPs and rebids based on SME feedback.

Ensures proposal text and budgets agree with RFP, client specifications, communications, and internal assumptions.

Obtains third‑party quotes as needed.

Manages the proposal process and stage gates from RFP receipt to delivery with limited line‑manager support; identifies mitigation skills with mentor/manager.

Works with contracts, finance, and operations to facilitate project initiation (PlanActivation).

Updates proposal and sales‑management tools or forms with status and value updates.

Coordinates and participates in project hand‑over meetings.

Learns to present budgets in client‑specific/requested formats.

Provides functional guidance and application of process guidelines to internal constituents as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree or equivalent in a business or health‑related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimal exposure working in proposal preparation in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry.

Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in proposal preparation in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry.

Intermediate‑to‑advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.

Knowledge of the clinical development process illustrated by previous work history in clinical research or drug development.

Good analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to perform several tasks simultaneously and work independently and flexibly to meet deadlines.

Above‑average attention to detail, effective oral/written communication skills, highly‑developed interpersonal and strong team‑oriented skills.

SALARY RANGE Base salary range represents the anticipated low and high for this position. Actual salary will vary based on qualifications, skills, and proficiency.
