Parts Counterperson – Full Time with Saturdays required

Responsibilities
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
Communicate with customers on parts status
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
Receive and process payment from retail customers or obtaining credit authorization
Pull and fill orders from stock
Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
Make sure all authorized requests for parts are billed on service repair order
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls; provide price quotes and other information
Provide high level service to internal and external customers
Ensure all warranty parts are returned and tagged according to the manufacturer's guidelines
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience with auto parts sales preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Must have a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license
Must be willing and able to submit to a Background Check and Drug Screen
