Position Description The Sr. Marketing Events Assistant serves as a key member of the ATI Business Development and Communications (BDC) Department in direct support of company goals and objectives. Primary job duties involve assisting the BDC team in producing successful strategic marketing collateral and events to help pursue new business. Duties include managing all necessary administrative aspects of the BDC department. This position offers a hybrid schedule (in‑office & remote/work from home) or an onsite schedule with flexible hours. Candidates must reside near Charleston, SC to ensure work site flexibility.

Essential Functions BDC Event Management

Coordinate event logistics for 10+ trade shows and events each year.

Assist in ensuring that the team has a successful event that allows them to meet their event goals.

Manage vendor relationships to secure rentals, shipping, booth space, and any other services.

Support ATI employees attending events by creating documentation about the show, set‑up/teardown, and the event.

Travel as needed to support these efforts.

Manage department calendar and resolve potential scheduling conflicts.

Manage and update professional calendar and travel arrangements of SVP Business Development and Communications.

Arrange meetings, conferences, video conferences, and telephone conferences, including equipment prep and testing, attendance tracking, room set‑up, catering, agendas, and presentation materials.

Coordinate meeting registrations, memberships, supplies, materials, equipment and services for business unit and program requirements.

BD Support

Support the BD team as needed.

Compile weekly BD summaries for leadership.

Monitor info inbox and support media relations inquiries.

Support conferences and engagement support.

Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of ATI presentations and briefings for external and internal use.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years experience in a related field, Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ related experience, or a High School Diploma with 8 years’ experience in a related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.

Computer skills including intermediate Excel, MS Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project desired. MS Access experience a plus.

Ability to represent the company professionally.

Ability to travel to conferences and meetings, with occasional weekend travel for early Monday or late Friday events.

Must be a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization, a lawful U.S. permanent resident, or an individual who meets the definition of “a U.S. person” upon hire.

Position subject to a background check that includes review of criminal records, with individualized determination based on the nature of the crime, elapsed time, and relevance to duties.

Physical Efforts Regular physical activity including walking, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and prolonged sitting. Use of phone and computer systems, copier, fax, and other office equipment. Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation.

Work Environment This position is located in an air‑conditioned, environmentally controlled atmosphere with moderate noise levels.

Salary Anticipated starting salary is in range $50,000 – $54,000, commensurate with education and experience.
