Reports to : Senior Graphic Designer and Director of Content & Brand Strategy As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will support the Senior Graphic Designer in executing visual assets across digital, social, print, and experiential touchpoints. This role focuses on production design, asset adaptation, and creative support while maintaining strong brand consistency with our overall brand strategy. Brands supported: Visit Savannah, Visit Tybee Island, Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Savannah Sports Council. Duties/Responsibilities

Support the Senior Graphic Designer in the execution of visual assets across digital, social, print, and experiential channels for the organization. Design and produce production-level creative assets, including advertisements, event graphics, marketing collateral, and digital content, based on established creative direction and brand guidelines. Create and adapt social media graphics and campaign assets across platforms, ensuring proper sizing, formatting, and visual consistency for each channel. Prepare files for both digital and print use, ensuring accuracy in formatting, file types, and pre-press requirements. Collaborate closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, Content team, and Marketing team to ensure brand consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of creative assets. Maintain organized digital files and project folders for easy reference, version control, and future use. Utilize Basecamp to manage assigned tasks, track progress, and meet established deadlines. Participate in creative brainstorms and team discussions, contributing ideas that support visual storytelling and campaign objectives. Support motion graphics for digital and social platforms when needed (e.g., simple animations, transitions, or text movement). Apply feedback and revisions efficiently, demonstrating attention to detail and a willingness to learn and improve. Technical Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for producing digital and print-ready marketing materials. Working knowledge of preparing files for both digital distribution and print production, including proper file formats, resolution, and layout standards. Designing for Instagram and Facebook for paid social campaigns Understanding safe zones, aspect ratios, and platform best practices Basic familiarity with short-form motion graphics (animated text, transitions) C. Template-Based & Collaborative Design

Basic understanding of Canva Understanding how to create repeatable, scalable assets Comfortable collaborating with non-designers using templates D. Asset & Workflow Management

File naming conventions for multi-brand organizations Experience working in shared cloud environments E. Accessibility Awareness

Designing with accessibility in mind (contrast, legibility, hierarchy) Familiarity with basic ADA considerations for digital graphics F. Basic Animation

Animated GIFs or short MP4s for social Canva animation tools Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, or similar software. Experience creating custom illustrations or hand-drawn graphic elements for use across digital, social, and print materials is a plus, but not required. Ability to create simple illustrative elements that complement established brand styles and enhance visual storytelling when appropriate. Education and Experience/Key Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field. Some work experience in the graphic design field is preferred, but entry-level and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work, including digital and print. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Familiarity with tools such as After Effects, Canva, or Procreate is a plus. Knowledge of file types and pre-press requirements. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Savannah, Georgia, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week, based on team needs and manager approval. Standard work hours are Monday–Friday; occasional evenings or weekends may be required to support events or major initiatives.
