West Workshop is a small architecture and design studio specializing in hospitality, custom residential and adaptive reuse projects with offices in Washington, DC, Raleigh, and Ft. Wayne, IN. This position is for a local or remote employee. Ideally you are based in NC. You must be based in the U.S. We have a need to fill a full-time position for a Project Designer with 5-8 years of professional experience. The position offers opportunities to collaborate directly with the firm’s owner and with clients on a variety of project types and is suited to those who are able to work independently on multiple projects. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Construction. Residential experience is a plus Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or higher Fluent in English Experience putting together a set of construction documents, in Revit, from concept through completion Basic construction knowledge Working knowledge of SketchUp; Rhino is a plus Proficiency with Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; willingness to expand skills with those programs Ability to research materials, products, and building systems throughout the design and construction phases Ability to independently prioritize and manage tasks Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to talk with collaborators, clients and consultants weekly Authorization to work in the United States Flexible work schedule and work-from-home opportunities How to apply
