Responsibilities What You\'ll Do:

The Director, IRAD Management will research, develop, plan, and implement a technology roadmap that aligns with both our customer and company\'s business needs, to deliver optimal return on investment, and place V2X at the forefront of innovation and applied technology insertion.

Key Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides strategic oversight for large-scale IRAD technology modernization initiatives, driving progress on key roadmap projects and collaborating with industry leaders to achieve critical milestones across V2X.

Leads and inspires a distributed team of technology visionaries and thought leaders, ensuring the successful execution of internal investments and technology roadmaps defined by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Responsibilities:

Strategically defines, develops, and executes the IRAD investment strategy to align with V2X\'s mission and business objectives.

Collaborates with the SLT and Chief Engineers to identify high-impact technologies that drive innovation and contribute to achieving business and financial growth targets across V2X verticals.

Tracks the financial expenditures across IRAD projects using EVMS principles, and ensures alignment of IRAD investments with funded programs, budgets, and future customer requirements.

Evaluates the company\'s human capital, infrastructure, and resources to ensure effective support of advancing technology roadmaps; recommends IRAD investments to the VP of Technology and Innovation to address capability gaps and fuel innovation.

Leads initiatives to establish a robust technology forum and facilitates the upskilling of V2X employees globally in emerging technologies to enhance organizational adaptability and competitiveness.

Serves as a key liaison between the Technology and Innovation Solution Architects and other stakeholders, communicating organizational goals and ensuring IRAD investments yield measurable outcomes across all V2X verticals.

Develops long-term strategic plans to address technology requirements, including systems architecture, software solutions, and hardware acquisitions, enabling V2X to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.

Provides thought leadership and performs additional duties to advance the company\'s innovation goals while fostering a culture of forward-thinking investments.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Master\'s in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Systems Architecture, Computer Science, Technology Strategy) preferred.

Experience:

4+ years of relevant work experience

Technology and business leadership experience within a global, publicly traded company with annual revenue exceeding $1B strongly desired.

Experience leading an RDT&E division or department, with a proven track record of delivering innovative products or software solutions to internal or external end users.

Experience overseeing IRAD investment strategies to ensure alignment with financial goals, EVMS reporting, and government/customer requirements.

Certifications/Licenses:

Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent sought.

Certified Systems Engineer (e.g., Microsoft, related certifications preferred).

Certified Solutions Architect (AWS or comparable).

Certified Enterprise Architect.

Other Requirements:

United States citizenship required.

Ability to travel to company and/or client sites up to 20%.

Top Secret or Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance required.

Desired Qualifications

Education:

Doctorate in a technical discipline preferred.

Experience:

Performance as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or comparable strategic technology executive role preferred.

The successful candidate\'s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company\'s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.

USD $170,000-$250,000
