Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.

Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Coordinates the inventory of power tools, equipment and hoses for the Structural crew.

Analyzes complex structural ironwork projects and recommends alternative strategies to complete the same project.

Reviews project status reports prepared by the general foreman and reallocates resources to ensure projects are completed on time.

Has knowledge of applicable safety and code standards specific to the structural ironwork trade, including OSHA standards.

Maintains Safety Accountability Procedures.

Assures that a high quality of work is being maintained.

Reviews individual crew daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for compliance and attends weekly crew safety meetings to ensure all employees are engaged.

Has good supervisory skills for managing crews.

Promotes a strong safety culture within the crews supervised.

Identifies safety hazards that you or other employees may be subject to and takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.

Performs all other job‑related duties as requested by supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum of four (4) years or more of refinery maintenance/turnaround or construction experience.

Knowledge of structural iron repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance methods, practices, and procedures.

Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.

Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures.

Has completed Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, S.T.A.R.T. Class, and client/site‑specific training.

To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program.

Subject to random drug screenings.

Must be able to complete Matrix Service Safety training and client/site‑specific training.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.

Physical Requirements

Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.

Will talk and hear to communicate.

Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and pipe systems.

Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, piping, and tools.

May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.

Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off platforms. Will work at heights up to 300' utilizing proper fall protection.

Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Must be capable of working outside in the elements, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, and must be able to work for long periods of up to 12 hours a day.

Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and steel‑toe boots.
