Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Service Representative
to support
Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees
within
Corporate and Commercial Lending Operations / Global Trade Operations . This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of trade finance transactions, reconciliations, wire payments, and customer fee maintenance, while ensuring compliance with established procedures and service-level expectations.
This position is ideal for a deadline-driven professional with a strong financial accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage non-routine issues in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will work closely with internal business partners, shared service teams, and management to ensure high-quality operational delivery and continuous process improvement.
Location:
Naperville, IL (Fully Onsite – 5 days per week)
Contract Length:
6 Months (Extension and FTE Conversion Possible)
Start Date:
February 9, 2026 (or ASAP)
Hours:
8 hours per day
Pay Rate:
$20.5/hour on W2 - No C2C or 1099 eligibility
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and fulfill trade finance transactions, including Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees, in accordance with established priorities, procedures, and deadlines.
Perform audit and reconciliation activities, including Accounts Receivable reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy.
Execute wire payments and ensure timely and accurate processing.
Monitor and control auto-renewal reports and manage extensions of expiry dates related to Standby Letters of Credit.
Maintain and update customer fee information accurately.
Prepare and document reports for management and operational reporting.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve discrepancies or exceptions, including non-routine and complex issues.
Escalate findings and provide recommendations to senior team members when appropriate.
Support internal business partners and external customers by responding to inquiries and resolving service issues.
Build productive relationships across the line of business and with partner teams to ensure timely, high-quality fulfillment.
Provide guidance and advice to peers and internal partners within established procedures.
Contribute input and analysis toward continuous improvement of business processes and controls.
Participate in the planning, testing, and implementation of new or revised products, services, or processes.
Provide on-the-job training and assistance to team members as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of financial accounting experience (preferred).
Proven experience in operational processing within financial services, banking, or trade finance environments.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Macros, and standard desktop applications.
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience handling non-routine issues requiring investigation and analytical judgment.
