As a CSA, you’ll ensure that every customer’s needs are met while enjoying a supportive team-based work environment with flexibility, promotional and development opportunities, and great perks. You’ll sell premium car wash services, Clean Car Club memberships, and retail items, engaging customers at the carwash tunnel entrance, gas pumps, or inside the retail store. Average $20/hour ($18/hr base + up to $5/hr sales bonus) Schedule:

Waterway Westport — 11988 Westline Ind. Dr. Maryland Heights, MO 63146. Other locations across St. Louis are available.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent and timely customer service to create a pleasant experience. Proactively greet customers entering the convenience store, pay terminal area, or fuel pumps and respond to their needs.

Effectively present and sell car wash services, memberships, and additional options to achieve sales and revenue goals.

Car Washes — identify customer needs and present complimentary solutions.

Clean Car Club memberships – identify customer wash frequency and needs, present options and the benefits and value of membership.

Additional purchase options – offer additional purchase options of retail merchandise or services in the convenience store.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment to ensure a positive visit for every customer, including both outside and inside areas:

Outside areas: gas pump islands, payment terminal, and entrance to tunnel

Inside areas: counters, merchandise displays, restrooms, and customer waiting areas

Keep convenience store merchandise stocked and organized, displays clean and well presented. Take inventory of merchandise levels as directed by store management.

Maintain point-of-sale transaction integrity by following procedures and using all transaction technology including tablets, payment terminals, and other POS systems.

Follow Waterway policies, procedures, guidance, and instructions, including safety-related requirements.

Other Functions

Perform various administrative tasks, such as making bank deposits and picking up or delivering supplies from other stores or retailers.

Perform various transactional functions to meet customer demand and store staffing needs.

Other functions as identified and directed by management.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Environmental — may work primarily outdoors year-round, exposed to wide temperature variations, sunshine, wet weather, humidity, and exposure to gasoline and exhaust fumes.

Physical — periods of standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, driving, and fast-paced tasks.

Vision and hearing — required to monitor surroundings and communicate effectively.

Language — fluent English communication with team members, managers, and customers.

Cognitive — perform arithmetic and data entry tasks.

Attendance — regular, predictable, and punctual attendance; may include weekends, extended hours, overtime, and holidays.

Qualifications What you need

Be friendly and engaging with a positive attitude and drive to succeed.

No experience required; experience in customer service, retail, or sales is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

Current and valid driver’s license

Professional demeanor and appearance as per company policy

Ability to perform all essential functions safely

Ability to comply with local/state health code requirements for soda fountain and food service/sales

Meet local/state minimum age requirements for sale of tobacco and alcohol (where applicable)

Ability to complete all required trainings/certifications
