ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Smiling, making eye contact and thanking customers upon fulfilling requests. Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times. Assist with produce merchandising duties to include preparation of produce products for display, stocking and pricing, and creating special produce platters to order. Ensure that quality and fresh products are displayed; remove substandard product and report to the Produce Manager or first clerk. Rotate and examine perishable products to ensure proper quality, code and condition. Provide a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times with all customers throughout the store. Work in a manner that maintains corporate and state sanitation and safety regulations in accordance with company policy. May be required to be available for training and work in other departments. May be required to perform duties in the Produce department as per management request. Ensure the accuracy of customer special orders (e.g., vegetable and fruit platters). Replenish bulk food displays (island and wall displays). Operate various produce equipment including but not limited to product weight scales, juice and pineapple machines. Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
