OVERVIEW ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES The Loss Prevention Lead mitigates and reduces losses through theft deterrence and key operational programs. The LP Lead models customer engagement to detect and deter shoplifters while providing service to all customers. LP Lead acts in compliance with the “Engaging Law Enforcement” policy when service cannot deter theft, assists in monitoring store compliance with safety, operational controls, and Merchandise Exposure Standards (MES) execution, and may assist in external/internal investigations and promote store awareness around theft and operational controls.
Internal and External Theft Deterrence and Awareness
Monitors customer and teammate traffic for potential theft activity while following dress code and addressing concerning behaviors typically attributed to shoplifting activity or internal theft.
Completes detailed incident reports in LPMS for recoveries, shoplifting events, and grab & go activity, and follows up with local authorities for external case resolution.
Create an inclusive in‑store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and treated with respect.
Requires 100% ability to walk sales floor, stockrooms, and office areas during the shift.
Deescalate incidents involving confrontation by athletes exhibiting concerning behavior.
Management of Loss Prevention Programs
Support, promote, and actively demonstrate company values related to customer engagement.
Provide ad hoc support for general business needs as necessary.
Participate in Shrink Coach meetings, new hire orientation, and conduct frequent training sessions with store teammates.
May assist store Shrink Coach with execution of Shrink Business Plan on a limited basis.
Conduct MES sweeps, fitting room checks, and safety standards when athlete traffic is slow.
Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and SOPs, and maintain confidentiality of all company information.

QUALIFICATIONS
1–3 years of prior LP or educational experience in Loss Prevention preferred.
VIRTUAL REQUIREMENTS

Offers are contingent upon a satisfactory background check, which may include ID verification.
PAY RANGE Targeted Pay Range: $19.50 – $28.50. Starting rate of pay may vary based on location, experience, and position offered.
