Overview

Thompson Hine is seeking a talented and experienced retail leasing attorney (either an Associate or Counsel position) to join our dynamic Real Estate practice group. The position is available in any of our Ohio offices. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in retail shopping center leasing. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. Associate Level

Candidates for an Associate level position should have 5 – 8 years of experience handling retail leasing transactions. Experience should include drafting and negotiating leases, subleases, amendments, and related documentation. Familiarity with landlord and tenant representation, lease enforcement, and ancillary real estate transactions is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong analytical and writing skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple leases efficiently. A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong client and team relationships are essential. 5 – 8 years of experience handling retail leasing transactions. Candidates for a Counsel level position should have at least 8 years of experience in retail leasing, with a proven track record of managing complex leasing transactions for a diverse client base. Experience should include significant responsibility for negotiating and drafting retail leases, as well as advising clients on lease administration, compliance, and dispute resolution. The successful candidate will have experience supervising junior attorneys, managing client relationships, and providing strategic guidance on leasing matters. A background in a large law firm or sophisticated in-house legal department is preferred. Superior academic credentials, excellent negotiation and drafting skills, and a strong work ethic are required. At least 8 years of experience in retail leasing with a track record of managing complex leasing transactions. Experience negotiating and drafting retail leases; advising on lease administration, compliance, and dispute resolution. Experience supervising junior attorneys and managing client relationships; providing strategic guidance on leasing matters.
