As a Clinical Account Specialist you will
drive demand
for assigned product by reinforcing clinical features and UCB value within an assigned territory; engage and build relationships with clinical decision makers and office support staff to create the best experiences for patients living with severe immunologic diseases treated in the home care setting.
Who You'll Work With
Attain sales goals and objectives by product volume and key accountabilities such as reach/frequency with assigned call plan stakeholders. Develop a strong understanding of the patient journey of care, including the unique needs of patients within the at‑home care setting. Work within the prioritized customer call plan to establish professional working relationships with HCP and support staff. Offer an outstanding patient experience with our product by communicating clinical information on assigned UCB product and relevant patient support services.
What You'll Do
Establish an understanding of the local ecosystems, including payor environment, pharmacy benefits and successfully navigate complexities of local care delivery systems with multiple payers. Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive marketplace and drivers of prescriber decisions. Demonstrate consistent application of UCB Patient Value Strategy principles by collaborating with local UCB ecosystem partners, integrating with Field Reimbursement Managers, Immunology Clinical Account Specialists, Partnership Leads, Regional and National Account Executives and Medical Science Liaisons. Know when and how to bring in the right expertise at the right time from other UCB matrix roles based on customer need or opportunity. Conduct account related activities such as profiling, call planning and reviewing UCB sales data regarding at‑home administration with assigned stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree BA/BS. 3+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or healthcare industry. Valid US Driver's License with no more than three moving violations in the past two years. Must reside within assigned territory.
Preferred Requirements
Experience selling injectable products. Experience calling on rheumatologists. Discussion of therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers. Developing and applying clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills. Executing marketing strategies at the local level.
Demonstrated understanding of managed care landscape and its impact on business.
Expected Salary Range
$132,000 – $174,000 based on experience.
