The Floating Leasing Agent provides essential coverage and support across Leasing Offices within the TFC portfolio during periods of staff absence or increased leasing activity. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned Leasing Offices, including the direct supervision, training, and development of Leasing Assistants.
With a strong focus on exceptional customer service, effective apartment leasing, and office support, the Floating Leasing Agent must demonstrate sound judgment, proactive decision-making, the ability to work independently, and the capability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Lease and pre-lease apartments. Compile and organize complete application packages for submission to the main office. Prepare and review leases for prospective residents. Perform regular walk-throughs of tour paths to ensure proper presentation and cleanliness of the building. Supervise, mentor, and train Leasing Assistants. Accurately complete comp reports for submission to the Director of Market Research. Coordinate with the Resident Manager on scheduling move-ins and providing punch lists for unit turns. Conduct move-in inspections thoroughly and professionally. Evaluate unit conditions and provide recommendations for potential renovations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Residential Leasing Agent. Strong knowledge of rent stabilization regulations. Demonstrated proficiency in sales techniques. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-pressure environment. Strong multitasking skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret credit reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
