Job Post Junior Architectural Designer (2 Years of Experience) Company: ELMO STUDIOS Duration: Full-time Date Posted: 01/25/26 Category: Architecture Location: New York Salary: 50-100k Job Description The Role We are seeking a Junior Architectural Designer with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience to join our studio. This role is suited to a motivated designer who is comfortable working in 3D and eager to grow within a small, focused, and design-driven environment. The ideal candidate is excited about high-end residential design as well as boutique commercial, retail, and hospitality projects, and approaches each project with care, curiosity, and attention to detail. The role involves close collaboration with senior designers and exposure to projects from early concept through documentation and construction.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and presentation of architectural and interior design concepts
Support early project phases through sketches, 3D modeling, and precedent research
Build and maintain Rhino 3D models and assist in producing Enscape renderings that clearly communicate design intent
Produce clear graphic representations of design intent in both 2D and 3D
Assist in the preparation of architectural documentation across Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation phases
Support the design and detailing of custom furniture and millwork
Research architectural products, fixtures, and furnishings
Assist with coordination of consultants and review of project documentation
Maintain organized files and contribute to studio workflows and standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited university
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design
Demonstrated interest in high-end residential and boutique commercial, retail, and hospitality work
Strong design sensibility with an interest in contemporary architecture and interiors
Proficiency in Rhino is required; experience with Enscape for visualization is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Curious, dependable, and motivated to grow within a focused studio environment
Authorized to work in the U.S.
