Airport Leasing Specialist 4 (Assistant Leasing Manager) State of Alaska – Transportation and Public Facilities – IAD-International Airport Systems Office – Anchorage, AK

About the Role Second in command for leasing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of subordinate leasing staff and managing complex leasing assignments, including multi‑million dollar agreements, public offerings, and politically sensitive projects. Works closely with tenants, Federal Aviation Administration, airlines, contractors, and the public to develop and improve airport infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee professional leasing staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance.

Coordinate and participate in complex leasing assignments, including developing new and existing infrastructure at the world’s largest cargo and seaplane base airport.

Recommend policies for implementation of laws/regulations and propose regulatory changes.

Address issues that deviate from established guidelines and involve conflict, controversy, or political considerations.

Prepare and review lease agreements, ensure alignment with agency goals and legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications Progressively responsible professional experience in administering commercial or industrial leases for multiple complexes, with a focus on airport leasing tasks that are politically and publicly sensitive. Experience includes:

Multi‑million dollar leasing agreements, public offerings, and complex negotiations.

Development of new infrastructure at large airport facilities.

Use of innovative solutions in highly regulated environments.
