
A global fintech consultancy and banking technology provider is looking for a
Senior Payments Solutions Consultant
to join its North America team. You’ll lead pre-sales solutioning and deal enablement for enterprise wholesale banking payment platforms, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams. You’ll work with
Tier-1 banks and large financial institutions , translating complex payment and treasury requirements into end-to-end solution architectures, compelling demos, and winning proposals. This role has been created to support continued growth in North America and an increasing pipeline of large, strategic payments transformation deals. Responsibilities of the Senior Payments Solutions Consultant: Lead pre-sales engagements for wholesale banking payments across Tier-1 and mid-market banks in North America Partner with Sales to run solution discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements capture with senior banking stakeholders Design end-to-end payment solutions covering real-time payments, RTGS/high-value payments, correspondent banking, clearing & settlement, FX and treasury flows Map client business processes to modern, composable payment platform capabilities Build and deliver high-impact demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution architecture blueprints Own and contribute to RFP/RFI responses, SOW scoping, pricing inputs, and TCO/ROI materials Coordinate cross-functional proposal teams across product, engineering, security, and delivery Advise banks on legacy modernisation, ISO 20022 migration, cloud adoption, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns Act as a trusted domain expert in executive presentations, articulating business value, operational efficiency, and regulatory alignment Capture market feedback and collaborate with internal teams to influence product roadmap and go-to-market strategy Requirements of the Senior Payments Solutions Consultant: 8–12+ years’ experience in wholesale payments, treasury, or core banking solutioning (10–15+ years for VP-level candidates) 3+ years in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or client-facing role at a fintech vendor, payments platform provider, or system integrator Deep domain knowledge of wholesale payments, including real-time payments, RTGS, correspondent banking, and ISO 20022 Proven experience owning RFP/RFI responses and supporting enterprise-scale deal cycles Strong technical understanding of APIs, integration patterns, payment hubs, cloud and on-prem deployments Experience delivering demos and technical workshops to C-suite, business, and senior technology stakeholders Ability to travel across North America as required Background in selling or solutioning payments platforms, payment hubs, treasury systems, or correspondent banking solutions Exposure to composable banking platforms or modern payments architectures Experience supporting ISO 20022 migration or core payments modernisation programs Existing relationships within North American wholesale banking or payments teams The team are offering a salary of £150,000 - $160,000 for the right candidate, alongside a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, and hybrid working.
