The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis is to provide comfort, care and a home‑away‑from‑home for families of seriously ill children. Our objective is to enable families to practice family-centered care by providing them with all of the basic comforts of home.

full‑time Event Coordinator
position open. This position is part of a mission-focused team of professionals providing compassion and hospitality to families with seriously ill children.
This position coordinates the Caring Partners Program, Recycle for RMHC program, and the Ambassadors Program. Additionally, the Community Relations Coordinator assists the Event Manager with our three (3) signature events: RMH Golf Tournament & Dinner Auction, Kids & Clays Tournament & Auction and our Scramble for Charity Golf Tournament.
As part of RMHC, the position collaborates with the team members to achieve position and organization goals in support of the RMHC mission and Core Values.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in non-profit fundraising and special events is preferred
Strong MS Office skills
Must be able to manage volunteers
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Must be able to work independently
Ability to adjust schedule to fit organization needs; occasional early morning or evening hours will be needed
Essential Functions
Coordinates community-based fundraising efforts, the Caring Partners Program
Tracks expenses and reviews monthly financial goals
Identifies new partnership opportunities
Cultivates and maintains relationships with current partners
Presents on RMHC in front of small and large audiences
Coordinates scheduling of Ambassadors Program events and assists Communications team with volunteer training
Coordinates Recycle for RMHC program
Develops and maintains program relationships with individuals, organizations and corporations
Coordinates program marketing efforts
Planning and implementation of the annual Tab Top Pandemonium recycling event, including marketing materials, day of logistics, volunteer recruitment and sponsorship acquisition
Assists Event Manager with RMHC special events and other fundraising opportunities
Planning and implementation
Auction item acquisition
Recruit, manage and train RMHC event volunteers

Physical Demands Must be able to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects. Must be able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and lifting of moderate to heavy weight material up to 25 lbs. Must be able to frequently climb stairs, including up to 3 flights, and frequently walk distances up to approximately 80 yards. Must be able to travel between RMH locations as needed.
