Golf Course Technician at Stanley Golf Course, a 27-hole municipal course established in 1930, located in New Britain, CT. Stanley Golf Course is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate with experience in fertilizer and pesticide applications, reel grinding, back-lapping, and rebuilding reel units. Knowledge of golf course maintenance, course setup, hand watering, and irrigation repair is required. The role will involve serving as the primary applicator of fertilizers and pesticides, with assistance from the Assistant Superintendent as needed during peak activity periods. Facility context: Stanley Golf Course features a large practice putting green, a chipping green with a practice bunker, and a heated, illuminated 19-bay driving range facility powered by Top Tracer Technology. The clubhouse includes a full-service golf shop and a restaurant. The course recently completed construction of a new event pavilion. The operation employs a Superintendent of Golf Course Operations, an Assistant Superintendent, a Golf Course Technician, several full-time Maintainers, and seasonal staff. Responsibilities

Serve as the main applicator of fertilizers and pesticides, with support from the Assistant Superintendent as needed. Perform reel grinding, back-lapping, and rebuilding of mowing units for the golf course and two 5-gang mowers at Willow Brook Park. Assist with or perform irrigation setup, maintenance, and repair as required. Follow course maintenance procedures and contribute to course setup and daily upkeep. Coordinate with other maintenance staff to support daily operations during busy periods. Qualifications

One year of experience back-lapping, grinding and rebuilding reel units. Experience operating hand- and ground-driven sprayers and fertilizer spreading equipment. Current or past golf course maintenance experience and knowledge of the game of golf. Irrigation troubleshooting and repair experience. Proof of a State of CT D.E.E.P Applicator License at the time of application submittal. Willingness to obtain the State of CT D.E.E.P Golf Course Supervisory (3B) or Turf and Ornamental (3A) License within one year of hire date. How to Apply / Contact
