Overview
Trapolin-Peer Architects (TPA) is seeking an Architect I–II or Architectural Designer to join our New Orleans studio. This role is best suited for an early- to mid-career architect who is ready to take on meaningful responsibility, contribute to design thinking, and continue building experience through direct involvement in active projects. Our projects span adaptive reuse, new construction, and institutional work across New Orleans and the Gulf South. Team members work closely with principals and senior project leaders and are encouraged to develop both design judgment and technical confidence. What You’ll Do
Collaborate with principals, project architects, and project managers across all project phases Take ownership of defined portions of projects, appropriate to experience and performance Develop and document design ideas through drawing, modeling, and Revit-based production with attention to design intent and constructability Participate in consultant coordination and integrated design Support construction administration, including document revisions and field responses Who You Are
4–8 years of professional experience in an architecture firm (approximate range; judgment and capability matter more than exact years) Professional degree in Architecture (NAAB-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s); licensure preferred but not required Strong design sensibility paired with a solid technical foundation Proficiency in Revit and comfort working between 2D documentation and 3D design tools Able to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance; thoughtful, collaborative, and communicative Why TPA
