Job Description Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated Estimator to join our team and grow within the heavy civil construction industry. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Civil construction estimating, be able to review, understand, and interpret Civil plans and documents ranging from conceptual, progress, and complete permit sets in order to provide a full scope detailed estimate for prospective clients in the private, public, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Experience and Requirements Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in a construction-related field, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Civil construction estimating, including but not limited to earthwork, mass excavation, drainage, sewer, water, grading, etc.
Be able to prepare a complete estimate, including labor, equipment, and material costs
Be able to read and understand Civil construction plans
Understanding of Civil construction means and methods
Able to perform detailed quantity takeoffs
Takeoff Software experience with AGTEK and BLUEBEAM is preferred
Estimating Software experience with BID2WIN is preferred
Be able to solicit vendors, suppliers, and contractors for pricing and confirm scope
Experience with Excel and Windows
Have excellent written and communication skills
Have a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and be able to meet deadlines
