Position Summary:
Interface Analyst serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for bi-directional interfaces—including HL7 and MAGIC—between major EHR platforms (MEDITECH 5.6.7, MEDITECH Expanse, Epic, Cerner) and Solventum coding applications (360 Encompass CAC and Coding & Reimbursement (CRS)).
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and support integrations of MEDITECH (5.6.7/Expanse), Epic, and Cerner with 360 Encompass CAC and CRS, partnering with Product Analysts and Engineers
Compile and maintain the inventory of HL7 message types and dictionary entries per the 3M/ Solventum 360 Encompass Interface Scoping Workbook
Perform gap analyses; recommend transformations; create mappings to enterprise-standard dictionaries and normalization patterns
Execute interface validation and end-to-end testing; analyze results; document findings; recommend remediation and optimizations
Own the Document Scoping Workbook, defining mapping, normalization, and configuration specifications for documents across the enterprise
Lead collaboration with business partners, 3M/Solventum vendor teams, Cloverleaf, and integration engineers to maintain both the Interface and Document Scoping Workbooks
Diagnose and resolve interface issues (message structure, mapping, transport, vendor-specific behavior) for 360 Encompass and CRS
Apply knowledge of grouper files and code dictionaries across multiple applications; ensure compliant and accurate downstream coding and reimbursement workflows
Promote best practices for interface versioning, change control, and regression testing; contribute to integration standards and reusable patterns

Requirements
Deep HL7 expertise (v2.x messages and segments; ADT/MDM/ORU/BAR/DFT/CODEALLTAGS) and bi-directional interface patterns
Hands‑on experience integrating Epic, Cerner, and MEDITECH (5.6.7/Expanse) with Solventum/3M 360 Encompass CAC and CRS (or similar CAC/coding solutions)
Demonstrated ability with Cloverleaf (or similar interface engines) and vendor coordination for transport, routing, transforms, and error handling
Strong understanding of clinical workflows that trigger HL7 messages and the clinical use of associated modules
Experience performing gap analyses, creating mapping/normalization, and driving validation/testing for enterprise integrationsli>
Solid grounding in regulatory content (e.g., grouper files, code dictionaries) and its application across clinical/coding platforms
Proven troubleshooting mastery across message structure, mapping, transport, and vendor nuances using logs, traces, and pattern analysis
Prior work in large, multi‑facility healthcare environments with multiple EHR instances
Knowledge of Code Set updates, grouper updates, and their impact on downstream systems
