What You’ll Do
Lead and oversee daily operations of excavation, grading, and underground utility crews
Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to meet schedule and quality goals
Operate heavy equipment as needed (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, rollers)
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Set grades using lasers and grade rods; GPS experience
Ensure job site safety by enforcing company and OSHA standards
Communicate clearly with project managers, inspectors, and crew members
Train and mentor crew members in equipment use, safety, and quality standards
Monitor progress, solve problems on site, and report issues proactively
Travel to out-of-town job sites
Support site cleanup and light equipment maintenance
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (utilities, grading, or site work)
3+ years of leadership experience as a foreman or crew lead
Proficiency operating a wide range of heavy equipment
Ability to read blueprints and independently set grade
Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills
Focus on safety and compliance in dynamic field environments
Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary
Familiarity with Topcon GPS and light mechanical skills a plus
Able to work year-round, with some seasonal variation

Competitive hourly wage – based on experience
