As
National Content Photojournalist , you will be responsible for shooting and editing videos, operating segment gathering equipment, and ensuring unity of message among all brand shooting. You will also coordinate with other staff to determine shoot objectives, research, develop, write, shoot, enterprise and produce compelling original and long-form programming segments, and contribute to special features and stories. You’ll make data-informed decisions about what’s resonating to connect our audience with the stories that matter.
Responsibilities
Shoot and edit videos for television news and related programming.
Operate segment gathering equipment and ensure unity of message across brand shoots.
Coordinate with staff to determine shoot objectives, research, develop, write, shoot, enterprise and produce segments.
Contribute to special features and long-form stories.
Make data-informed decisions about story resonance to connect with audiences.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Shooting and editing television news footage experience – 5+ years
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience preferred
Technical skills: Ability to shoot and edit video, light and shoot multi-camera interviews, and work with bonded cellular live streaming technology
Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and interest in current events; creative and critical thinker focused on storytelling
Abilities: Ability to formulate questions and conduct interviews in the field as needed
Travel: Open to travel to cover important stories in your neighborhood and engage with the community
Schedule: Ability to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends and holidays; flexible with schedule changes due to breaking news or severe weather emergencies
Licenses: Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence
Working Conditions
Works inside in a climate-controlled environment and outside throughout the year; may be exposed to extreme weather conditions
Drives company vehicle to and from locations, following traffic laws
Ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds
Ability to work different shifts and cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned
Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds

The base pay for this position generally is between
$66,500.00 and $127,600.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
