The primary purpose of this position is to provide relationship management for the Specialty Finance Line of Business. A successful candidate will have the capacity to cover sectors aligning with the Bank’s mission to support low-income communities and cooperative development. Sectors covered by Specialty Finance generally include Healthcare, not for profit, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and housing sectors focused on cooperative and community development. The position will lead the relationship management for the Specialty Finance portfolio and may include management of junior relationship manager(s) by monitoring for strong credit quality, assessing borrower financial condition and performance, ensuring compliance with legal documents, and providing excellent customer service by processing and facilitating credit and servicing related requests. The position will act as the internal liaison with underwriting, servicing, closing, and loan review. The position will engage with BDOs and credit to resolve complex issues in addition to mentoring or managing junior relationship managers (RM1s). The career path may include a role leading to a Business Development Officer or increased management responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications Include:

Broad-based experience (i.e., credit analyst, portfolio manager, credit manager, underwriter, or loan officer) in corporate, community development banking, or CDFI. Knowledge of lending to the healthcare industry. Knowledge and experience with cooperatives and community development financing tools including tax credits, lending to not-for-profit organizations, and affordable housing, preferred. Ability to understand and manage a portfolio of customers, covering a range of transactions that include complex capital structures, multi-stakeholders, and loan participants. Credit facilities range from $500,000 to $75,000,000. Sales revenue of customers ranges from under $1 million to $500 million. Proficiency in Excel to manipulate and create financial spreadsheets and models. Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and processes to ensure appropriate credit monitoring while balancing business development support. Excellent oral and written communication skills. A minimum of 5 years of experience in community development relationship management and/or lending in a commercial bank or similar type financial institution. Bachelor's Degree required. Must be willing to travel nationally 10-20% of the time. AA/EOE About the company
