Job Description The Activities & Events Specialist is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering high-impact culture, engagement, and development events that support Tricon’s employee experience across markets. The Specialist leads the development and execution of the culture events calendar, oversees employee events for the Tustin, CA location and provides enterprise-level coordination for culture initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Culture, Engagement & Office Events
Lead the planning and execution of the Tustin culture and engagement strategy in alignment with organizational priorities
Facilitate and guide the Culture Committee, including setting agendas, driving planning conversations, and ensuring follow-through
Partner with ROX managers and cross-functional stakeholders to plan and execute major culture events across markets
Develop, maintain, and communicate a comprehensive monthly and annual culture events calendar
Ensure a consistent, well-balanced cadence of engagement initiatives, including volunteer activities, community events, and at least one major event per quarter
Provide guidance and best practices to stakeholders to elevate the quality and consistency of culture events
Catering, Vendors & Onsite Experience
Oversee catering and food services for training events, meetings, and recurring office programs, including Wednesday lunches
Identify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships, including catering partners, venues, rentals, and entertainment providers
Independently collect and compare quotes, manage approvals, and monitor event-related expenses against budget expectations
Proactively address service issues and continuously assess vendor performance to ensure Tricon standards are met or exceeded
Event Planning & Execution / Tricon Academy Events
Own the full lifecycle of assigned events and serve as the primary logistics partner for Tricon Academy initiatives, including leadership and training programs (concept and planning through execution and post-event evaluation)
Qualifications
Advanced event planning and execution expertise, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder events
Strong organizational and project management skills, with comfort prioritizing competing demands
Clear, polished written and verbal communication skills appropriate for senior leaders and external vendors
Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate services within budget parameters
High standards for quality, professionalism, and employee experience
Sound judgment, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to operate independently
Minimum Requirements
5+ years’ work experience in a similar role
Develop and propose creative solutions to meet event requests as needed
Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
Computer skills to proficiently use Outlook Calendar and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Ability to lift 25 pounds

Frequently required to stand and move; use hands to grasp, squeeze, finger, handle, and feel; reach, push, and pull with hands and arms; occasionally required to twist; reach overhead; stoop, kneel, squat, bend, and crouch.

Salary Range $59,140.00 - $98,560.00
