
Territory Sales Representative – Montana & Alaska

Yukon Trading Company is seeking an experienced, self-driven Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow our retail account base across Montana and Alaska. This role is ideal for a relationship-focused sales professional with a strong background in footwear and experience working across multiple B2B brand portfolios in the Outdoor, Run, or Specialty retail channels. The ideal candidate will be located in Montana.

Overview The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and expanding an established retail territory while identifying and developing new business opportunities. This role requires strong ownership of the sales orderbook, accurate forecasting, and the ability to balance the needs of multiple brand partners across a diverse B2B customer base.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and confident managing the full sales cycle—from relationship building and line presentations to order management, forecasting, and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow an existing portfolio of retail accounts across Montana and Alaska
Prospect, open, and develop new retail partnerships within the territory
Represent multiple brands across different categories, aligning brand strategies with retailer needs
Own and manage the sales orderbook, including order entry, revisions, and follow-up
Develop accurate seasonal sales forecasts and contribute to demand planning discussions with brand partners
Execute seasonal line presentations, product trainings, and in-store support
Maintain consistent communication with retailers regarding product availability, deliveries, and reorder opportunities
Track account activity, sales performance, and opportunities using CRM tools and reporting systems
Travel extensively by car throughout the territory; air travel required approximately 4–5 times per year
Attend occasional weekend events, trade shows, and key retail visits as needed
Qualifications
Proven B2B sales experience within the Outdoor, Run, or Specialty retail industries; footwear experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple brands and customer relationships simultaneously
Strong understanding of retail buying cycles, orderbook management, and sales forecasting
Familiarity with the retail landscape in Montana and Alaska
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with agency leadership and brand partners
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with sales reporting and forecasting tools a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
