The Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative will support our Branch Operations group located in Conyers, GA. The role involves selling our products and services to prospective and existing customers via phone, email, fax, and in-person interactions. Responsibilities include maintaining current customers, driving new business, and ensuring a smooth and accurate sales process.

Responsibilities
Build sales for the branch by maintaining house accounts and communicating new product launches, services, and discounts to dealers via outbound calls and in‑house discussions.
Maintain sales programs within the assigned territory by informing customers about services, supplies, prices, and new products.
Provide excellent customer service via walk‑ins, phone calls, and e‑mails.
Execute all aspects of the sales function, including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes, and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy of entered information.
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications as needed.
Obtain and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed; coordinate with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors regarding shipments.
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
Educate customers about product terminology, features, and benefits to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
Provide accurate information regarding in‑stock items; conduct cycle counts as required and replenish showroom stock as needed.
Assist customers with warranties and returns.
Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve problems, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies; coordinate problem resolution with appropriate departments.
Process cash drawer daily, count money end‑of‑shift, prepare deposit slips, and place them in the safe.
Periodically reach out to customers to determine satisfaction with products and services.
Monitor competitive activity and trends within the territory.
Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities.
Expand knowledge of HVAC products and keep current with latest industry trends.
Work positively with all levels of management and peers to keep all areas and departments up to speed and working effectively as a team.
Follow work instructions, operating procedures, and company policies.
May travel to customer locations to follow‑up, make presentations, or perform demonstrations.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory counts and movement of product; operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of HVAC equipment and products preferred.
General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and working knowledge of database applications.
High‑quality customer service and relationship management skills via walk‑ins, phone, and email.
Positive, professional attitude and ability to diffuse negative situations.
Effective listening skills and rapport building.
Phone and e‑mail etiquette.
Professionalism – patience, poise, and tact.
Ability to handle high volume customer traffic.
Effective verbal skills – able to explain fairly technical information clearly.
Written skills – convey information via e‑mail and accurately input orders.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills, including the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
Strong work ethic and integrity on the job.
Assistance in the warehouse and safe forklift operation as needed.
Understanding and following procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
Experience
6+ years of progressive sales and customer service experience preferred.
6+ years in the HVAC industry preferred.
Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred.
HVAC certification preferred.
