Build relationships with prospective customers and customers in a friendly, courteous, and supportive manner. Use a CRM and enter necessary data to collect important information. Use multiple communication methods to reach the right person to grow the business. Be knowledgeable about competitors and how to compete against them. Provide excellent communication skills. Identify new prospects using multiple sources. Work closely with Customer Service, Operations, Research and Development Labs, Regional Managers, and Sales personnel. Develop and execute plans to gain business from targeted prospects. Exhibit excellent telemarketing skills and engage with customers on the phone and via email. Technical Expertise
— understand the powder coating process (training is available) and all aspects of the powder coating process; learn to determine the right coating solution for opportunities; understand chemistries available and their benefits and weaknesses; maintain excellent phone/telemarketing skills. Marketing
— contribute to annual marketing budgeting and create a business plan aligned with budgeted funds; help develop brand awareness in line with corporate goals; utilize inputs from multiple internal sources to shape market approach; demonstrate a proven track record in website development, collateral creation, branding, product management, and promotions; participate in industry shows. Additional Responsibilities
— Spanish speaking is a plus; represent Vitracoat at functions as needed; some travel including to the corporate office in Mexico; perform administrative tasks to support Regional Managers, Sales personnel, and Technical Support Team; collaborate with Mexico to maintain a unified brand image. Supervisory Responsibilities
— not initially managing direct reports, but willing to train, mentor, and support all sales and marketing team members to optimize effort and achieve goals. Position Accountability
— work independently with good judgment and ethical decision-making while collaborating in a team to meet business goals. Qualifications
Note:
Teamwork and communication skills are important; Education and/or Experience: A High School education is required; a chemistry or business degree is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects Spanish speaking is a plus Strong oral and written communications skills Willingness to travel Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Apple products, and ability to adapt to new software Knowledge of the coatings market, especially powder coatings Knowledge of the powder coating process Proven marketing track record Ability to manage a budget Ability to work independently Summary & Benefits
