LOCATION : Washington, DC American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Digital Associate to join our Communications/Digital team. This position is based in our Washington, DC office. The Digital team focuses on communicating American Bridge messaging on all our public-facing platforms and works closely with all departments to amplify their talking points, research, and footage. The Digital team focuses on communicating American Bridge messaging on all our public-facing platforms. The team collaborates with all departments to amplify their talking points, research, and footage. Candidates should have a passion for politics, curiosity for research, and the ability to creatively think outside the box. Primary Responsibilities
Monitoring social media to capitalize on trending topics, breaking news events, and conversations relevant to American Bridge 21st Century. Write effective, concise copy catered to multiple social media platforms. Collaborate on daily content calendars and long-term planning. Work with Research, Digital, Video Production, and Communications teams to monitor daily changes in target races and develop social media campaigns, videos, and graphics. Captioning rapid-response videos and producing rapid-response quote graphics. Fully participate in planning meetings with the digital team, discussing upcoming events and social media trends and how they apply to American Bridge’s voice. Other duties as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Self-motivation and proven ability to work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with social media platforms and trends. Strong organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly. Ability to meet tight deadlines on a daily basis and adapt to new challenges. Comfortable working after hours and on weekends. Employment Details
