
Overview
We are seeking an SEO Supervisor with deep expertise in Amazon marketplace optimization and broader e-commerce SEO strategies. This team member will oversee the development and execution of content and technical SEO strategies, as well as tactics and deliverables, for a large consumer electronics client. This candidate will be required to drive organic visibility, optimize product listings and develop SEO strategy across Amazon and potentially other commerce platforms. Responsibilities
Amazon SEO & Marketplace optimization: Audit & prioritize recommendations for optimizing Amazon product pages and brand storefronts. Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to maximize organic product visibility and conversion rates. Optimize product listings including titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend keywords and A+ content. Conduct in-depth keyword research using tools such as Merchant Words or similar Amazon-specific platforms. Examine how reviews are collected and utilized in major language models like ChatGPT, Google AIOs, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, and others. Monitor and analyze Amazon search ranking performance, competitive positioning and marketplace trends. Implement strategies to improve key Amazon metrics including CTRs, conversion rates and organic rankings. Stay current with Amazon algorithm updates, policy changes and emerging marketplace optimization best practices. E-commerce & general SEO support: Develop and perform detailed site audits to identify issues and ensure site is optimized for search engine and AI visibility. Editing documentation delivered internally or externally by the SEO department and maintaining internal technical/content resources such as checklists and style guides, and/or crafting keyword lists & reports. Serves as client point-of-contact for day-to-day SEO programs. Understands clients’ overarching marketing objectives, how digital fits/complements their goals. Optimize for traditional search engines and LLMs with focus on e-commerce specific ranking factors. Presents strategy/technical/content findings to clients; prepares routine/ad-hoc reports for clients and internal teams. Responsible for measuring results and creating actionable insights and recommendations based on data. Collaborate with team leaders, monitor quality, accuracy and timeliness of team communications and deliverables, produce ongoing thought capital. Is responsible for measuring results and creating actionable insights and recommendations based on data; Identifies opportunities and relevant industry insights. Collaborates with team leaders to produce ongoing thought capital. Monitors quality, accuracy, and timeliness of team communications and deliverables. Cultivates client relationships and helps drive client business. Assists SEO leadership with new business pitches and finding opportunities to grow existing business. Qualifications
3-5+ years of experience in SEO with a strong focus on online retail, commerce and content Understands how to adapt SEO findings for AI platforms and understands how to optimize for marketplaces and marketplace search behavior. Familiarity with large scale websites (+20M pages) and ability to diagnose issues related to traffic/indexation Ability to prioritize recommendations into projects and roadmaps. Demonstrated proficiency presenting SEO strategies to mid- and senior-level clients in a confident manner. Strong knowledge of SEO/GEO/commercetools such as Merchant Words, SEMRush, Conductor, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Botify, Profound, Google Search Console, etc. Developed the ability to field questions/offer advice regarding developing SEO content/content strategies. Has shown the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; has exceptional verbal/written communication skills. Additional information

Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
