Overview

The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager (Senior CRM) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial client relationships, with a focus on asset retention, portfolio expansion, and new business development. This role partners closely with internal teams to originate new relationships, develop prospects, and deepen existing client engagements. The Senior CRM plays a key role in expanding the commercial banking portfolio and market presence through effective profiling, lending, and cross-selling of commercial products. Responsibilities include building deposits and loans across Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), and SBA lending, while providing guidance on credit-based matters and supporting commercial services initiatives. Primary Responsibilities

Manage commercial client relationships and portfolios in compliance with established policies, procedures, business strategies, and regulatory guidelines. Drive loan and deposit growth through prospecting, lead generation, portfolio management, and centers of influence, including regular in-person and telephone outreach. Analyze financial statements and business performance to evaluate creditworthiness and recommend appropriate loan structures. Present loan requests and participate in the credit approval process, providing clear recommendations and supporting documentation. Provide financial guidance to clients and prospects regarding business conditions, economic trends, and banking solutions using approved resources. Participate in community and business organizations to build professional networks and referral sources. Identify and cross-sell products and services to meet client financial needs and strengthen relationships. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent commercial banking experience. Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate lending. Demonstrated experience with SBA lending. Skills and Abilities

Strong business development and relationship-management skills. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including business and credit writing. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external clients. Professional presence with the ability to represent the organization confidently. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements in a commercial lending environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
