We are looking for an innovative leader with broad experience in digital technology and engineering project delivery to join our enthusiastic, ambitious, and growing Digital Services Team. Our team provides industry-leading digital delivery support to high-profile infrastructure engineering projects, combining our digital expertise with engineering domain knowledge and project delivery experience. About the role
Your mandate is to lead the application of digital technologies on major projects across our North American region. You will engage with senior project leadership and clients to understand project delivery challenges and to identify corresponding business requirements for digital delivery workstreams (information management, BIM, GIS, business intelligence, automation, etc.). You will work with Business Development leads and our clients to contribute to proposals and lead planning for digital delivery workstreams on our major pursuits. You will support resource managers to build capacity and capability to enhance our ability to support a wider range of projects and grow the next generation of digital delivery leaders. This includes coaching, mentoring, and guiding several of our digital leads currently managing the execution of digital workstreams. You will also participate in the leadership of the Digital Services teams
Engaging with other team and discipline leads to identify and develop opportunities for digital delivery workstreams on projects across the unit. Collaborating with colleagues in other Mott MacDonald practices and across the North American Digital Delivery Network to advance strategic initiatives and to build our digital excellence culture. This includes problem solving and ad-hoc peer reviews; you should be comfortable quickly gaining context and understanding a project to offer insight, experience, and solutions to optimize our working methods. This role is based in Mott MacDonald\'s downtown New York office. We offer a hybrid work environment with flexible hours to balance work demands and life responsibilities. Regular travel is expected, which accounts for approximately 50% of time in a Mott MacDonald or client facing location. Candidate Specification
Minimum 10 years\' experience. Relevant degree in engineering or architecture, or technical diploma. Intuitive understanding of digital technology, its capabilities and limitations, and applications to engineering project delivery. Able to identify innovative solutions that respond to organizational goals and strategies. Strong project delivery skills with relevant experience in the engineering industry. Expert in defining project end deliverables and identifying opportunities to generate value. Strong communication skills. Able to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work closely with clients to develop project and program digital visions. Strong leadership skills. Able to challenge current practices. Can engage diverse range of stakeholders on a compelling idea to get buy-in. Strong management skills. Able to supervise and coordinate the work of technical specialists. Able to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Able to manage operational matters including resourcing, skill utilization and support recruitment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in conducting business analysis to understand processes and requirements. Able to streamline workflows, automate processes, and standardize outputs. Strong team player, able to work effectively and inclusively with hybrid and remote teams. Expertise in one or more digital technical disciplines (information management, BIM, GIS, data analytics, automation, etc.). Experience working with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as ProjectWise and BIM 360, SharePoint, Aconex, etc. Strong knowledge of international standards such as ISO 19650 and BS1192/PAS1192. Service oriented; passionate about providing quality service to clients both internal and external. Willingness to support and ultimately own client relationships. Confident to work autonomously. Able to work in a fluid, unstructured environment with a can-do, positive and pro-active attitude and seeing initiatives through to the end.
