CALL FOR CONSULTANTS: CIRCULAR SUPPLY CHAINS FOR BATTERIES & RARE EARTHS
Pyxera Global is building a bench of subject-matter expert consultants to accelerate circular supply chains for batteries, rare earths, and other critical materials. We work at the intersection of business, government, and communities to design inclusive, regenerative solutions that deliver real environmental and social value. Pyxera Global endeavors to practice and elevate diversity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability within and outside of our organization. Visit our website to learn more. We invite qualified consultants and small firms to express interest across the following specialties. Descriptions provided at the end of announcement: Battery, Material Passports & Traceability Data Hydrometallurgy & Battery Recycling Rare Earth Separation & Processing (Material) Reverse Logistics & Take-Back Systems ESG & Responsible Sourcing (OECD/RMI) Second-Life Battery Engineering Circular Product Design Robotics & Automated Disassembly Plant HSE (Recycling & Materials Recovery) Circularity Program & Partnership Lead Local supply chain & Local Procurement Mechanisms Remanufacturing policy (EPR,CEAP) with a focus on subsidies & incentives Why this matters: Global policies, extended producer responsibility, corporate commitments, and community priorities are rapidly reshaping how materials are designed, collected, recovered, and repurposed. Delivering this transition safely and equitably requires applied technical expertise, collaborative program design, and localized capacity-building. We are building a global pool of experts who can help drive this transition. Typical scopes of work include: Technical advisory and feasibility assessments Program design and implementation support Standards and compliance (Battery Passport readiness, due diligence, chain-of-custody) Risk mitigation and health/safety guidance Data and impact measurement frameworks Partnership development and coalition facilitation Assignments range from short technical memos to multi-month program support, depending on project needs. Who should apply: Community-based experts with operations experience Former industry professionals with applied knowledge Pyxera Global is committed to equity and representation. We encourage applicants from historically underrepresented communities and from geographies central to the energy transition. Minimum qualifications (depth will vary by specialty): Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the listed roles Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical guidance Experience delivering clear written outputs (memos, SOPs, training materials, guidance notes) Experience working across sectors (government, industry, communities, NGOs) For field-facing roles: familiarity with HSE and hazardous materials standards Location: Remote with potential for travel Level of effort: Typically 5–40 days per assignment Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience Start window: Rolling, with near-term opportunities How to Apply (Rolling EOI with Priority Review Date of February 28, 2026): Send the following to
consultingopportunities@pyxeraglobal.org Subject Line: EOI – [Specialty Title] – [Your Name or Firm] Required attachments: CV or firm capability statement (up to 3 pages) Short cover note (300–500 words) describing your expertise, where you add value, and relevant geographies Two or three short project snapshots (problem, role, outcome) Rates (day rate or fee structure) and availability Two references or project links Priority review date: Monday, January 5th, 2026. Submissions after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis. ONLY
full submissions will be reviewed. If your submission does not include the five requirements above it will not be reviewed. Evaluation criteria: Technical depth and relevance Quality of past delivery Ability to operationalize and produce actionable guidance Partnership and facilitation experience Equity and community-centered approach Regional or market expertise Value for money Role Snapshots Battery Passport & Traceability Data: Expertise in LCA inputs, chain-of-custody, mass balance, data governance, and interoperability.
