About the Position Naturion has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales & Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline, with more on the horizon and this position is essential in supporting the company’s growth and operational stability. This position is a high-impact growth role responsible for developing and executing a regional business development strategy, expanding strategic relationships, and driving revenue through mitigation credit transactions and environmental mitigation solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong “hunter” instincts, consultative sales capability, and the ability to translate regulatory and ecological restoration requirements into business value for clients. This role will engage heavily with energy and utility clients, mining companies, as well as environmental consulting partners supporting TMDL, water quality, environmental permitting, and infrastructure compliance needs.

What You Will Do & Expected Outcomes The Regional Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for growing revenue through mitigation credit transactions, expanding market presence, and building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Success in this role means you are not only closing transactions, but building a sustainable pipeline, increasing Naturion’s visibility, and helping shape strategy by identifying new opportunities early. The successful Sales and Business Development Manager will contribute in the following significant ways:

Build and execute a regional business development plan that consistently generates qualified opportunities across energy, utilities, mining, transportation, linear infrastructure, and consulting markets.

Establish Naturion as a trusted partner for mitigation strategy, project planning, and credit procurement.

Develop repeatable referral pathways through environmental consultants and engineering firms supporting permitting and compliance.

Identify, develop, and participate in Environmental & Mitigation Restoration RFP’s to offset impacts and for voluntary mitigation for government entities, non‑profit agencies, and private companies.

Identify and pursue capital sources to be deployed in environmental restoration and preservation (e.g., grant funds, federal, state, & municipal capital dollars, etc.).

Transact mitigation credit sales.

Draft, review, and submit credit sales agreements and reservation letters with strong attention to detail.

Maintain credit ledgers/databases, manage inventory and reservation status, and provide regular reporting.

Collaborate closely with internal operations and leadership to align sales commitments with credit availability, release timing, and client delivery expectations.

Support continuous improvement: feedback loops from market → proposals/pricing → operations planning.

Develop meaningful relationships with external partners & clients in the following sectors: Energy & Utility Companies (electric transmission/distribution, natural gas utilities, pipeline operators, renewable developers) with mitigation, permitting, compliance, or capital project needs.

Environmental Consulting Firms supporting Clean Water Act compliance, water quality programs, permitting, mitigation planning, and delivery—especially consultants engaged in TMDL and watershed/water quality proposal development (RFP capture through award).

Engineering & Design Firms supporting linear infrastructure, transportation, and large‑scale construction programs.

Local and State Governmental Agencies with Clean Water Act mitigation and water quality/TMDL needs.

Developers and Infrastructure Owners requiring mitigation credit solutions due to regulated impacts.

Industry Associations and Stakeholder Groups that influence or connect mitigation banking and project development communities.

Ideal Candidates

Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a related field.

Diverse educational background welcome (e.g., Sales, Business, Ag Business, Environmental Sciences, Communications, etc.).

Proven business development or sales within environmental services, energy & utility, and transportation sectors.

Experience working with or pursuing projects related to Clean Water Act permitting, Watershed / water quality planning and compliance, wetland and stream impacts.

Familiarity with RFP development, proposal positioning, and award support.

Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office software products. Sales Force CRM experience preferred.

Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to traverse rugged terrain to perform site visits/reviews, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with Company fleet and safety policies.

Ability to travel frequently with possible extended overnight stays.
