This is a hybrid role at our Miami office located at 5201 Waterford District Dr. Miami, FL and will require 2 days/week onsite in the office.
Job Summary: Opportunity to support a communications team responsible for driving earned media attention and proactive storytelling across the Americas region. This role serves as a critical operational support function, enabling the broader team to focus on high-level strategy and media engagement while you take ownership of key executional tasks. You will play an integral part in managing media monitoring, content coordination, database management, and project execution for hotel openings and communications initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced communications environment where attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and bilingual capabilities are essential to success.
Responsibilities
Monitor media coverage daily, add clips to tracking systems, and flag Google Alerts with potential reputational impact to the team
Maintain and update coverage databases in Airtable with all placements secured by agency partners
Prepare and maintain monthly Americas media release recaps
Assist in drafting, updating, and editing communications templates, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
Organize and manage image libraries on Dropbox, including renaming, identifying, and removing outdated images
Maintain and update media contact lists, flagging new contacts as needed
Support coordination of regional stories, reactive media opportunities, and proactive pitches through information gathering, photo gathering, and content updates
Assist with editing and reviewing hotel-level press releases as needed
Conduct content research and media trend research to support communications initiatives
Manage timelines and activities related to pre-opening and opening of priority franchise and managed hotels
Assist with maintaining opening template documents and reviewing press materials tied to hotel openings
Act as a liaison across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and timely execution of projects
Join team calls and meetings as needed and provide follow-up recaps
Translate communications materials between English and Spanish as required
Skills
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously with different stakeholders
Proficiency with project management tools and database systems
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a large organization
Strong proofreading and editing capabilities
Research skills for content and media trend analysis
Availability to work East Coast time zone hours
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field preferred
Work experience in communications or project management
Fluency in Portuguese preferred
Hospitality industry experience preferred
Understanding of communications and media dynamics preferred
