The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, Ace Hardware, and True Value . The ideal candidate is a master negotiator who can navigate complex P&Ls, leverage data to win shelf space, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership
Drive Growth: Own the end-to-end relationship with national big-box retailers, serving as the primary point of contact to expand the current market share and sales volume of Malco brands. Veto Pro Pac Launch: Lead the strategic entry of Veto Pro Pac into the Big Box retail environment, focusing on premium positioning and "Pro-grade" placement. Financial Stewardship: Manage the P&L for assigned accounts, optimizing trade terms, managing margins, and ensuring profitable growth. Sales Execution & Category Management
Shelf Excellence: Negotiate and secure optimal shelf placement, endcaps, and off-shelf displays to maximize brand visibility. Demand Forecasting: Partner with supply chain teams to provide accurate sales forecasts, ensuring high in-stock rates while managing inventory health. Promotional Planning: Develop and execute annual promotional calendars and "pro-focused" marketing initiatives tailored to each retailer’s customer base. Data-Driven Strategy
Analytical Insight: Utilize syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen) and retailer POS portals to identify market trends, competitive threats, and white-space opportunities. Performance Reporting: Deliver regular business reviews to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable growth strategies. Collaboration & Ambassadorship
Cross-Functional Synergy: Work closely with Marketing, Category Managers, Product Managers, and Operations to align product roadmaps with retailer needs. Brand Integrity: Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all in-store and online representations of Malco brands adhere to global quality and messaging standards. Education / Experience
Proven Experience: 7+ years of sales management experience, specifically managing "Big Box" national accounts (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.) within the tool, hardware, or building materials industry. Big Box Fluency: Deep understanding of the "Line Review" process, retail math, and the logistical requirements of national distribution. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in data analysis (Excel, IRI, Nielsen, or similar) and CRM software. Negotiation Skills: A track record of successfully negotiating high-volume contracts and trade agreements. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Travel: Ability to travel extensively to visit key account headquarters, regional offices, and industry trade shows. Benefits and Perks
