The Business Sales Account Executive generates sales to small and medium business communities through door‑to‑door efforts, networking, local partnerships, and community events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete Ziply Fiber New‑hire Sales Training. Contact a high volume of businesses in person and via email or phone as directed by Sales Leadership. Present Ziply Fiber’s Internet and phone services following the sales process and door‑knocking schedule set by the sales manager. Follow up with prospects via phone calls and emails to close new customers. Participate in events within an assigned territory to secure customer sign‑ups. Travel outside the assigned territory up to 25% of working days for team‑wide sales events. Actively engage in Chambers of Commerce and local organizations. Engage in e‑learning, classroom sales training, and associated curriculum with the Sales Trainer. Meet and exceed monthly sales performance expectations. Track operational expenses, process mileage reimbursements, and log event expenses timely. Monitor industry developments and apply critical thinking for strategic and customer impact analysis. Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; recent college graduates strongly encouraged. Sales experience is a plus but not required—training provided. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to communicate complex solutions professionally. Demonstrated experience working with people in varied settings requiring interpersonal skill use. Enthusiastic, persuasive, resilient—able to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude throughout the sales process. Self‑motivated, competitive, with strong personal drive to achieve goals. Committed to exceptional customer service in a calm, professional manner. Reliable transportation; willing to travel up to 25% of working days. Pass local community background checks and permitting processes. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, satisfactory driving record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Follow direction and sales process as trained and reinforced by sales manager. Prioritize and organize work effectively as a self‑starter. Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information. Deal with public professionally. Work independently applying sound judgment and reasoning to varied situations. Drive responsibly for the company. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Work Authorization

Essential functions require bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods. Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
