Overview
Customer facing staff responsible for winning business. Operates with some autonomy but are typically subject to standard sales practices and procedures. The role is subject to regular review of sales results. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. May be responsible for medium-sized sales territories. Roles and Responsibilities
Within a geographic area, responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups. Use prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.
Understand key business drivers and how the work of your team integrates with others to contribute to the area.
Decisions are typically within a defined framework, with some autonomy for final decisions on a project, product line, market, sales process, or customers. Use prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Access technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Likely an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Communicate with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provide informal guidance to new team members. Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Required Qualifications
For roles outside of the USA – Advanced experience in the Sales function. Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
For roles in the USA – Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Groups/Functions).
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
