Compliance Specialist This position serves as administrative staff for the college's processes related to students' experiential learning, including managing affiliation agreements with external partner organizations, interpreting and applying site‑specific student compliance requirements, coordinating student compliance verification processes, and maintaining databases for tracking and reporting student placements. It also provides consultation and technical assistance to a wide range of internal and external clientele, counsels academic program leaders on compliance requirements and processes, and provides indirect supervision of administrative staff.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain affiliation agreements with external partner organizations.

Interpret and apply site‑specific student compliance requirements.

Coordinate student compliance verification processes.

Manage databases for tracking and reporting of student placements.

Provide consultation and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.

Counsel academic program leaders on compliance requirements and processes.

Provide indirect supervision of administrative staff assisting with compliance implementation.

Use the Banner system, Excel, and other software programs to track multiple data points for the college’s student clinical agency requirements.

Maintain excellent interpersonal and professional oral and written communication skills with various consumers (faculty, staff, students, external agencies, visitors, and families).

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience related to the area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Experience: Minimum one year of experience related to the area of assignment.

Skills: Advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft Office programs, Gmail, and calendar applications.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to problem‑solve and propose solutions.

Proficiency with complex databases (Banner, Excel).

Experience in administrative roles related to compliance processes.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Experience working with Gmail and calendar applications.

Experience managing databases such as Banner.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Work Location CHHS 468A, UNC Charlotte. Work schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours. Hybrid teleworking available (one day per week after onboarding).
