Job Summary
Community Bible Church (CBC) is seeking a highly skilled and visually driven Graphic Designer to support the church’s creative vision across print, digital, apparel, and large-format environments. This role requires a designer with advanced Photoshop capabilities, a strong aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to translate broad creative direction into excellent, timely deliverables.

Creative & Concept Development
Translate verbal and written creative direction into clear, compelling design solutions across multiple mediums
Develop visual branding for sermon series, major events, ministry campaigns, and churchwide initiatives
Meet with internal ministry partners to identify goals, design needs, and communication strategies
Produce initial concepts for review and make revisions based on feedback from creative leadership
Design & Production
Create and format artwork for digital platforms, social media, print collateral, signage, screen-based environments, web graphics, and apparel
Adapt and resize existing artwork into multiple formats with accuracy and attention to detail
Ensure consistency in visual standards while supporting innovative and forward-thinking design approaches
Collaborate with videographers on graphic elements incorporated into motion content.
Determine recommended production methods, materials, and print specifications as needed
Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and print partners to ensure quality and timely delivery
Workflow & Support
Respond effectively to urgent or time-sensitive requests
Maintain an updated portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of design capabilities
Perform additional duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent creative problem-solving ability and professional interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, and file preparation
Experience designing for both digital and print production workflows
Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
Willingness to learn advanced AI design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Runway.ai)
Preferred: Experience with After Effects, Figma, and Canva.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Days and hours of operation are generally scheduled Monday – Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm. Working some weekends is a requirement of this position.
Physical Requirements
Ability to maintain good or corrected vision, including depth perception and focus adjustment
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate computer and office equipment for prolonged durations
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. and occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal form
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
Minimum 2 years of professional graphic design experience
Demonstrated experience creating graphics for digital marketing and cross-platform use
Preferred: Web experience including HTML, CSS, or motion graphics
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
WORK ENVIRONMENT Duties are performed in an office setting where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee is able to effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in an innovative environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal. Periodic travel to various locations may be required.

Must be willing to work weekends and occasional special events.
