Millwork Associate - Entry Level

Our client is a family-owned, local producer and distributor of fine-quality, domestic and imported hardwood and softwood lumber. Summary: This position offers an opportunity to use woodworking machines in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where attention to detail and precision are critical to create finished wood products.

Pay: $20/hr Schedule: Monday - Friday 5 am - 2:00 pm Benefits After Hire: Medical Insurance, Bonus options and more

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain milling machines, lathes, and other industrial equipment to produce high-quality products
• Able to read and comprehend job specifications from the plan and work orders
• Account for time and materials using the company's computer system
• Maintain a clean work area
• Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy and quality standards
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure workplace safety
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned, be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a light-industrial / warehouse environment
• Experience in woodworking or industrial machine operation preferred
• Basic math functions
• Excellent hand and eye coordination
• Must have a high awareness of safety at all times and the ability to follow given instructions
• Demonstrated ability to be a reliable team player by communicating and interacting with coworkers in a positive manner
• Proven record of consistent and reliable work ethic
