Position : Senior Director, IT Business Partner – Corporate Functions. This role serves as the single point of accountability for all technology capabilities supporting Finance, Legal, and Corporate Communications (including corporate web and digital properties), and over time selected HR functions. This senior business-facing IT executive is responsible for strategy, roadmap, delivery, adoption, and value realization across the G&A technology portfolio. The role partners directly with functional executives to modernize core platforms, strengthen governance and compliance, enable AI-driven productivity, and ensure Crinetics’ corporate systems and digital presence scale with the company’s growth. Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
These may include but are not limited to: Partner With Business And IT Leadership To: Own the strategy, roadmap, investment governance, and outcomes for all technology supporting Finance, Legal, and Corporate Communications. Serve as a trusted advisor to G&A leadership, aligning business strategy, regulatory needs, and technology capabilities. Act as the primary executive interface between IT and G&A functions, building strong, trust-based relationships and ensuring tight alignment between business needs and technology strategy. Lead portfolio planning, prioritization, and value realization across the G&A technology landscape. Drive organizational change and adoption for major transformations. Embed AI and automation into core business workflows to improve efficiency, insight, and control. Proactively engage stakeholders to shape priorities, surface opportunities, and address business challenges, including navigating trade-offs and competing demands. Influence decision-making through clear recommendations, business cases, and executive-level communication, translating complex technology topics into business-relevant terms. Partner With IT PMO And IT Leadership To: Own the strategy, lifecycle, and performance of technology platforms supporting Finance, Legal, and Corporate Communications, with selected HR capabilities added over time. Lead platform modernization, simplification, and scalability across the G&A landscape. Translate business needs into clear technology solutions and prioritized roadmaps in partnership with architecture and delivery teams. Ensure strong data, integration, and reporting across G&A and enterprise platforms. Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, SOX, ITGCs, and change control across the portfolio. Partner With IT PMO And IT Leadership To: Provide executive ownership for major programs and transformations across the portfolio. Drive cross-functional delivery accountability across IT and business teams. Ensure delivery is predictable, value-focused, and aligned to business priorities. Ensure solutions transition into stable operations with strong adoption and support models. Own platform health, service performance, vendor performance, and continuous improvement across the portfolio. Ensure high levels of reliability, usability, and business adoption. Ensure platforms meet security, privacy, regulatory, audit, and inspection-readiness requirements in partnership with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Quality. Enforce strong operational discipline, controls, and documentation for business-critical systems. Partner With Enterprise Intelligence And IT Services To: Own the AI enablement agenda across Finance, Legal, and Corporate Communications. Identify, prioritize, and scale high-value AI and automation use cases embedded in core business workflows. Ensure AI capabilities are value-driven, secure, compliant, and well-governed. Drive responsible adoption of AI to improve productivity, decision quality, content operations, and compliance effectiveness. Partner With IT PMO And IT Leadership To: Own portfolio financial management, investment prioritization, and vendor strategy. Manage strategic vendors and partners to ensure strong delivery outcomes. Vendor management including but not limited to relationship management, contract management, processing, renewals, negotiations, and business reviews. Build and lead a high-performing team of business-facing IT and platform leaders. Other duties as assigned. Required
15+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Digital, or Business Systems, including senior leadership roles owning enterprise business platforms and portfolios. 10 years of supervisory experience. Significant experience partnering with Finance and/or Legal in a regulated or public company environment. Proven track record owning strategy, multi-year roadmaps, portfolio investment governance, and business outcomes for mission-critical enterprise platforms. Strong experience with ERP and G&A enterprise systems (e.g., Finance, Planning, Procurement, CLM, Compliance, Content/Web platforms). Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional programs and transformations from strategy through execution and adoption. Experience operating in environments requiring SOX, audit, ITGC, privacy, and regulatory compliance. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and operate effectively with C-suite and senior leadership. Proven people leader with experience building and leading high-performing, business-facing IT teams. Strong financial and vendor management experience across complex enterprise portfolios. Preferred Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries. Experience owning or overseeing corporate web, digital, or external-facing platforms. Experience driving AI and automation adoption in enterprise business functions (e.g., Finance, Legal, G&A operations). Experience supporting or partnering with HR systems and processes. MBA or equivalent business leadership experience. Experience operating in a product/platform-oriented IT operating model. Physical Demands And Work Environment

Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. The salary range for this position is: $213,000 - $266,000. In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. We also provide top-notch health insurance plans for employees (and their families) to include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, 20 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a winter company shutdown.
