Role Overview
Bucket Robotics is hiring a
Head of Business Development
to define and own the end-to-end product experience—from the moment a qualified lead enters the pipeline to a successful, trusted deployment on the factory floor.
You’ll sit at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customers, turning cutting-edge computer vision technology into something manufacturers can adopt, trust, and scale. This role is ideal for a product leader who is deeply customer‑driven, technically fluent, and excited to build product workflows from scratch in a real‑world industrial setting.
Responsibilities
Own the customer journey from qualified lead → pilot → production deployment
Design onboarding flows that take customers from CAD upload to validated inspection results
Define what success looks like for pilots, evaluations, and production rollouts
Translate customer workflows and factory constraints into clear product requirements
Work closely with the CEO and engineering team to shape product direction and priorities
Partner with sales to support technical evaluations without becoming a sales role
Define and track product metrics such as time-to-first-inspection, activation, and pilot-to-production conversion
Continuously refine the product based on real‑world deployments and customer feedback
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in product management or product leadership roles
Experience shipping complex technical products (enterprise, ML, robotics, or infrastructure‑adjacent)
Strong technical fluency—comfortable discussing ML systems, APIs, and deployment constraints
Customer-obsessed mindset with a focus on adoption, onboarding, and trust
Enjoys wearing many hats and operating in early‑stage, ambiguous environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with robotics, manufacturing, industrial automation, or computer vision
Background working closely with enterprise or industrial customers
Experience owning onboarding, pilots, or post‑sales product workflows
Familiarity with edge deployment, hardware‑software systems, or ML platforms
Previous startup or early‑stage company experience
