Job Description Overview

Salesforce requires a Senior UI/UX Designer who will be responsible for designing experiences that bring inspiration, fun, clarity, and innovation to the events web experience. The Senior UI/UX Designer will work on the Salesforce Events Website that enables both live and on-demand event experiences. The website enables our attendees to discover, learn, register, attend, and engage with event content. The experiences that the Senior UI/UX Designer creates will improve discoverability, drive engagement, increase on‑demand viewership, and boost organic traffic. The Senior UI/UX Designer will discover, ideate, conceptualize, prototype, test, and specify new elements of the experience, while contributing to the design system.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver new and enhanced user flows, page patterns, molecules, and components.

Communicate design goals and outcomes with various stakeholders to build a shared understanding.

Collaborate with team members from various disciplines including user research, product management, events strategy, accessibility, engineering, brand creative design, and copywriting teams.

Perform competitive/comparative analysis, uncovering new design inspiration.

Design micro‑interactions that bring our brand to life.

Create high quality UX deliverables to communicate the design, which may include user flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity prototypes, and detailed design specs (while taking advantage of developer tools for efficient handoff).

Translate experimentation and research outcomes into useful, usable, and elegant design solutions

Ensure all designs are accessible and inclusive.

Ship high quality implementations by pairing closely with QA and developers

Deeply understand and translate the brand to digital event experiences.

Experience / Skills

Proven experience as a UX/UI designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work for web and mobile applications, with an emphasis on interaction design.

Preferred 7+ years of UX/UI design, with a proven record of leading websites and/or products from conceptualisation to market success.

Eye for modern design that produces visually appealing and intuitive interfaces

Ability to leverage and expand upon well-established brand assets and styles

Deep understanding of user‑centered design methods and standard processes

Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, collaborative, agile environment, and meet tight deadlines

Ability to generate design concepts even when faced with ambiguity and aggressive timelines

Self‑starter with the ability to produce results independently as well as part of a team

Strong communication skills and active listening ability

Adept at fostering relationships with core and cross‑functional teams

Utilizes data, including analytics and user research, to inform decisions and refine product iterations

Ability to distill complex problems into clear and concise goals and solutions.

Practices systems thinking and advocating for holistic solutions, considering individual features within the context of the overall user flow.

Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma and ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge

Experience in developing globally‑reaching software, universally designed for users of diverse languages and abilities.

Possesses knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards and applies them across all designs.

Applies accessibility instructions via annotations in Figma or through code examples.

Understands the effects of common technical constraints such as performance, platform, SEO and framework on accessibility, and vice versa.

Is familiar with various assistive technologies.

Selects and verifies colors to ensure sufficient and accessible contrast.

Uses proper HTML roles and ARIA labels to support effective screen reader behavior.

Ensures the entire interface can be navigated with a keyboard or switch device.

Follows mobile accessibility guidelines so touch targets, gestures, and text remain easy to use and read.

Understands how to design motion that respects reduced‑motion settings and avoids causing discomfort.
