Overview

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. Blue Origin is seeking an experienced national security sales leader to drive our strategy and revenue growth within the defense, intelligence, and federal government sectors. This role will lead engagement with military branches, intelligence agencies, and other government entities to address secure communications and global connectivity requirements through Blue Origin\'s advanced connectivity solutions that enhance and extend beyond traditional terrestrial networks. This position offers an opportunity to advance national security capabilities at the intersection of space technology and next-generation connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies targeting defense and intelligence government customers

Establish and nurture relationships with key decision makers in government agencies and prime contractors

Create compelling value propositions that address resilient space-based communications, assured connectivity in contested environments, and global coverage for expeditionary forces

Identify how advanced connectivity solutions can address limitations in existing terrestrial government networks

Develop annual sales plans with detailed account strategies, pipeline forecasts, and revenue targets

Collaborate with product management to align our technology roadmap with national security requirements

Lead proposal and capture teams to navigate government procurement vehicles and acquisition processes

Navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and compliance requirements

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in defense/intelligence technology sales with 5+ years in leadership roles

Proven track record selling complex solutions to government agencies or as part of prime contractor teams

Active TS/SCI clearance required

Deep understanding of defense acquisition processes, funding mechanisms, and procurement cycles

Experience with terrestrial government communication networks and understanding of their operational limitations

Experience with government contracting, procurement vehicles, and federal acquisition regulations

Strong background in solution selling and consultative sales methodologies

Excellent presentation and communication skills geared toward technical and mission-focused audiences

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to government sites and partner locations

Preferred Skills

Experience with integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial communications solutions for national security applications

Knowledge of terrestrial network vulnerabilities and how complementary technologies can enhance resilience

Knowledge of C5ISR, resilient communications, or tactical edge connectivity solutions

Background in selling secure communications, assured access, or anti-jam/protected networks

Understanding of JADC2, multi-domain operations, or related DoD initiatives

Experience with classified program requirements and special access programs

Familiarity with requirements for assured connectivity in denied or contested environments

Military background or service experience

Compensation and Other Details Compensation Range: For WA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25
