The Strategy & Communications organization provides critical market, competitor and business insights to Top Level Executives using analytics, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic initiatives forward. Our team stays focused on aligning company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and utilizes data to inform strategy and decision making across the Consumer Electronics (CE) Division. In this newly created position, the key role of the Business Strategy Director is to support top management to define the corporate/business division strategy and to translate into concrete initiatives, business plan and priorities. As a core member of strategy team, this role needs to closely work with the Division leaders, but also across cross functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives are in line with Samsung Global and Samsung Electronics America medium-and long-term strategy. Lead Strategy Development

Develop and advise comprehensive annual and multi-year business strategy across various Consumer Electronics product categories and Accessories) with an in-depth outlook on market dynamics and plan for growth Organize and facilitate the end-to-end CE Division strategy & planning process including 1) CE Division medium and long term strategic plan, 2) execution plans and target allocation 3) budget approvals 4) execution review and results tracking. In addition to the annual planning cycle, continuously work with business teams to monitor/propose new or critical initiatives Provide Strategic Analyses & Thought Leadership to Top Management

Support and apply in-depth strategic insights and thought leadership on electronics industry, channel, and consumer trends Provide business updates, KPI dashboards and preparing strategic business presentations to both local and global leadership Monitoring key market developments that can influence SEA business (competitor, macroeconomic, etc.) Extracting insights from open (media reports, market reports, government data, expert interviews) and internal sources (business performance and P&L reports, etc.) Data analytics financial, macroeconomic) and variance analysis Data synthesis and interpretation (assessing key change drivers) Data forecasting (e.g., using regressions, predictive modeling) Preparing C-level reports communicating findings in a succinct and visual manner Lead Executive Communications

Drive all Executive Communications for the Strategy team through working with Top Management to develop best in class presentation and communication materials Mentor and guide junior Managers to ensure successful delivery of all Executive communication and continuous relationship building with Executives Manage Large Scale Strategic Projects from Concept to Launch

Lead and facilitate cross-divisional projects on key strategic issues based on senior management request Create business cases, financial analyses, and ROI assessments based on understanding of SEAs capabilities, financial principles, and strategic insights Develop new frameworks/best practices to strategically utilize data to drive new market assessment, demand & forecasting projects Skills and Qualifications

MBA or Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience in TMT area (technology, media, telecommunications); Master’s degree preferred. 5+ yrs. of internal business strategy and/or management consulting experience, with heavy focus on consumer technology business, marketing, project management, business transformation Strong quantitative skills and business acumen to understand business status and issues and drill down to identify solution paths in growing online channel business and shares. Ability to lead complex projects, and work effectively in a matrix environment Ability to efficiently scope and execute concrete strategic initiatives Demonstrated success leading teams and establishing effective working relationships with executives in varied areas, including global HQ counterparts. Demonstrated strategic thinker who can turn strategic objectives into practical actions Problem-solver with optimistic attitude & passion for delivering results. High energy, works with a strong sense of urgency, highly responsive in a fast-paced environment Expertise in developing business strategy, marketing and sales presentations, using Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
